BurningICE got 271,9 million on Rattlesnake Row/5 and entered the Top-25 on 21st place. On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #29 to #28 and on the Totals he beat the 2 billion mark, still missing PRs for 17 zones.

    Assassin Sports got new PRs on Dangerous Curve/20. First he got 73,2 million and quickly improved to 77,8 million, climbing from 17th onto the 12th spot (previous PR 71,7mil). It also was his first PR in 2023 and even the first ever he got using the 50hz mode. On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #18 to #17.

    • Also LarviStar, still grinding Rattlesnake Row/5 on the Dolphin Emulator, improved his PR another time from 300,1 to 332,0 million. That score would be even ranked on the 6th spot, which is currently his best ranked PR.

    Nikcolin got 26,1 million on Ridge Riot/8 but missed the Top-25 for 2,1 million only (previous PR 22,5mil). It was a non-glitch score but he got a cam-glitch and the truck can't be seen, so it won't appear on the non-glitch scoreboard.

    MKrawnis is the 7th Crasher with a new PR in 2023. On Long Distance Destruction/16 he got 114,3 million and climbed from 25th onto 12th place (previous PR 109,7mil). He also beat the 19 years (!) old best Xbox 60hz Video on that zone from VIRTUALCHAOSFREAK by 7k only. It was by far the oldest video on the Xbox 60hz Video list, the 2nd oldest being a vid from 2012.

    Just having the game for some 10 days, XtremePlays comes up with another good score. On Rattlesnake Row/5 he got 332,3 million entering the Top-25 on the 5th spot (previous Ps2 PR 128,7mil). The 22,1 million damage was even the 2nd best damage ever on that zone. On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #27 to #23 and on the Totals he climbed over the 2 billion barrier.

    Already 2 days ago XtremePlays got 195,6 million on Dip Disaster/6 (previous PR 127,0mil) and today he already improved this score to 275,6 million, entering the Top-25 on 14th place. On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #29 to #27.

    • And from now on i will also announce LarviStars new PRs on the news, despite the fact those were done on the Dolphin Emulator. Just that those scores won't be added to the rankings. On Rattlesnake Row/5, the zone he is currently grinding on, he improved another time from 291,1 to 300,1 million. That score would be ranked 14th. His personal Top-5 on that zone currently reads like this: 300-291-289-288-275.

    BurningICE got his first Top-25 entry in 2023. On Criss Cross Crush/18 he got 61,2 million and entered the Top-25 on 18th place. On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #30 to #28. His Total currently stands at $1,747,100,724 with only 12 submitted zones.

    On the last years 2 weeks lasting Crash-off event on Sandstorm Shredder/7 i mentioned a 122,5 million score by LarviStar done on the Dolphin Emulator. In the meantime he got a few other good scores which would also be ranked on the WCR if they weren't done on a Emulator. LarviStar is trying to get a good proof as possible by also streaming each of his crashing session. He also gave Out of Control Tower/3 a good go over weeks and was able to push his PRs to 393,5 million, 411,9 million, 426,1 million and finally to 555,3 million, which would have been placed 21st spot on the Top-25 at that time.

    • On Dip Disaster/6 he got 194,3 million and could improve to 255,6 million, which would be placed on the 17th spot.

    • And recently he gave Rattlesnake Row/5 a go and got 3 very good scores. 288,7 million, 289,3 million, and his current 291,1 million PR, which would be ranked on the 17th spot too.

    • And that's not all news for now. Since last week XtremePlays got the Xbox version of Burnout 2 (he only played the PS2 version before), and he already got a score into a Top-25. On Out of Control Tower/3 he got 576,3 million and entered the Top-25 on the 17th spot. Already on the 2nd day he got the game he got a 374,7 million score. On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #30 to #28.

    The Saturday nights crash-off to celebrate the 20 years anniversary of the Gamecube version being released (on the previous news i wrote Xbox which was wrong) ended with a few good scores. All in all 8 Crasher gathered and the crash-off lasted for some 9 hours until the last people went to sleep. In combined some 50 hours of crashing were done. Already on the first chosen zone, which was Ridge Riot/8, sparker599 got a new non-glitch World Record of 30,2 million, which was also the first ever non-glitch score over the 30 million mark at this zone! He beat the previous over 6 years old best non-glitch score from Brainkiller007 by 0,8 million (29,4mil). Sparker599 entered the Top-25 on the 20th spot (previous PR 22,9mil). This was by the way also the first Top-25 score on the WCR in 2023!

    • On the 2nd chosen zone already on the 2nd try Crashfreak got 252,2 million on Sprint Smash/17 and missed the best Video there for 7 million only, which is a 259,3 million also done by himself. It was the 3rd best score ever achieved on that zone.
  • Video Zone 17 - 252,2 million
    • A few zones later on Rattlesnake Row/5 two PRs happened. Another time it was sparker599, who improved his already good PR slightly with a 320,1 million score (previous PR 317,6). But this was enough to climb 2 spots on the Top-25 from 9th onto 7th place. Nikcolin got 254,6 million and missed the Top-25 for 3,4 million only (previous PR 218,4mil). Later he also got a new PR on Dip Diaster/6 with 141,6 million (previous PR 133,9mil). On the Totals he beat the 4,6 billion mark.

    • Just when i went to sleep Mr. Vette joined the Crash-off and got a 80,2 million score on Glass Canyon/12, which was also a PR for him (previous PR 79,7mil). And he came up with a sort of "new" strategy. And today he was able to beat his PR twice again. First he got a 82,2 million score, which was already enough to reenter the Top-25. And then he was able to push the score above the 100 million mark with a 102,5 million score, which was only 2,7 million off the best non-glitch Video for that zone (105,2mil)! On the Top-25 he took the 10th spot.

  • Top 25 - Glass Canyon/12
    • Just a quick view onto that "new" strategy. A very similar way was already tried. Mr. Vette just took it to the next step finding a way to trigger 2 trucks more often. The quick progress quickly showed, that that strategy could be a new alternative best strategy to be used for Glass Canyon/12. And that 100 million score doubtless confirmed it then. Already there he could have beaten the non-glitch Video for that zone, as sometimes you can even get a higher multiplier. And on another go he was able to luckily flip 2 of the parked buses. But keep in mind that with the very old way it was possible to get multipliers up to 22. Just that that old strategy wasn't used anymore since the Custom Pikcup RST strat took over. Drew22werDs 113 million score is still the non-glitch World Record, just that there is no vid of that score. Shout out to everyone participating on the Crash-off.     As on this coming Saturday 8th April, the Xbox Version, the one with 30 Crash zones and the "flying truck" glitches, was officially released 20 years ago, we will hold a small Crash-off event which will take place on our Discord Channel. Usually on a Crash-off random zones will be picked and played for some 20 or 30 minutes until another zone is chosen. There is not really a schedule the event will start, but i guess it will start in the evening CET (Central European Time) and last until no one is around anymore. If you wanna join and are not already a part of our Discord server, click that invite to join.

    • And as i am already at. Maybe some of you already heard of the Insignia project, which is bringing back an unofficial version of Xbox Live for the original Xbox. Their plan is to bring back each game with XBL support, so the time will come when Burnout 2 Scoreboards will be relaunched. As i have no clue of their schedule, and currently a plan of about 6 Games being added each month, we only can hope that Burnout 2 will be added soon. For more info check their website.
