Scores have been taken from the old www.superhighscore.com website, Xbox Live, www.cyberscore.net, www.vgr-fr.com, www.youtube.com and other rankings, vids and records found on the World Wide Web.

Monster scores update!
And the "Crashing-the-date" month truly delivers and brings one of the biggest moments in almost 20 years of crashing on Burnout 2 Crash Mode!
Crashfreak got a unbelievable 902,0 million glitch on Out of Control Tower/3 and beat the 16 years old best video for that zone by 182 million (720,6mil/Brainkiller007). It is also the biggest crash ever recorded on video (of course without sink- or barrier-glitches)! On the Top-25 he climbed from 3rd onto 2nd place (previous PR 679,0mil) and he also beat his own 4 and a half years old best Gamecube 60hz video for that zone (657,3mil).
On the Totals Crashfreak hit another milestone adding 223 million to his total and jumping over the 7,6 and 7,7 billion mark coming even close to the 7,8 billion mark! With a total of $7,797,572,304 he is now only missing 3 million. Congrats again for that big moment Crashfreak!

    • And this is not all the news for today. CoastalCrusher got 378,7 million on, guess it, Coastal Crush/2. This is another huge score and if you take a look onto the Top-25, another score today which came close to the current World Record! On the top-25 he climbed from 7th onto the 2nd place (previous PR 288,2mil). It is currently his 5th Top-3 spot.
    On the Totals he beat the 6,3 billion mark.

    And we got another PR today on Coastal Crush/2.
    Mkrawnis got 259,0 million and entered the Top-25 on 12th place (previous PR 193,1mil). It was even his last missing zone without a Top-25 spot. And on the Totals he entered now the club of the Crashers which beat the 5 billion mark ($5,005,078,538), being the 9th one to beat that barrier, congrats on that.

    So there are already the first PRs coming in done during the "Crashing-the-date" ritual.
    Nikcolin got a good 261,1 million score on Coastal Crush/2 and climbed from 20th onto the 9th spot (previous PR 216,7mil).
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #17 to #16 and on the Totals he beat the 2,2 billion mark, still missing PRs for 13 zones.

    • Assassin Sports improved his PR on Down Hill Demolition/1 from 159,6 million to 166,6 million, but unfortunately didn't move a spot still being ranked on the 22nd position. And right now there is even a very fresh score coming in. On Coastal Crush/2 he got 228,3 million but missed his PR for 0,6 million only.

    • And for the "Crashing-the-date" month even 3 more Crashers joined, so right now the number of Crashers taking part is at 11! LarviStar, Taco and Wave are going to participate too. Just for info, LarviStar and Taco (both are going to play on Emulator for that month) don't have a score added on the WCR yet, and are "new" to the website, so welcome. Wave won't be available for the whole month, as he will be off for a week or so. That's it for now.

    Small update on the "Crashing-the-date" event. Nikcolin, Assassins Sports and sparker599 are going to participate too, so this one will be the biggest of its kind with 8 Crashers. Anyone thought the WCR is dead? Well, you were wrong. For the european participants the crash-month will start in about 5 hours. I am sure PRs are going to happen in that month, but beside those, i may write a small resume/update after each 10 zones. So here is the link again, Happy Crashing!

    Next month (in 2 days already) there will be held another "Crashing the date" month. So far participants are LEEK701X, Crashfreak, Mr. Vette, CoastalCrusher and mKrawnis. If you wanna join that month you can go ahead and just add your name on the spreadsheet. You can also use the link below to check back for the results during that month. I do not know at the moment if some streaming is planned.
    The "Crashing the date" month is a very old crashing ritual invented by Drew22werD. Rules are very easy, just crash on the zone the date says, for example on the 1st of the month you crash on Zone 1, on the 2nd Zone 2, and so on. Then just fill in your best score each day on the spreadsheet and that's about it. Good luck to every participant and may it rain a lot of good scores.

    Some weeks ago some guy on Youtube uploaded a 240 million video on Dip Disaster/6. What was every interesting was the Top-5 shown on the video. 4 different names appeared there and the scores ranged between 236-259 million. After some chat (can be found on the comments of his video) it turned out those other scores been done by his friends, and they were done in the early years between 2003-2005. Actually i wanted to wait to submit his 240 million together with his friends scores, but as there is still some info missing, for now i will just add that 240,6 million score, which was done by BurningICE and enters the Top-25 on the 18th spot.

    And there is another very good PR from LEEK701X. On Freeway Fury/9 he got 513,3 million and climbed from 8th onto 3rd place (previous PR 379,2mil), which is currently his 7th Top-3 spot. He also beat the 2 years old best Xbox 50hz video on that zone from Brainkiller007 by 31 million (482,9mil).
    Beside that he got small improvements on Ballistic Beach/15 with 192,8 million (previous PR 190,7mil) and 65,2 million on Criss Cross Crush/18 (previous PR 63,1mil). But on both zones he did not change a spot on the Top-25.
    On the Totals he beat the 5,9 billion mark and is now only 43 million away to beat the 6 billion mark.

    I found 2 scores over on Twingalaxies.com which fall into a Top-25. I contacted both guys and asked for permission to add those scores to the WCR, so here they are.
    The first score is from Thegamer1185. He got 139,8 million on On Ramp Onslaught/23 and entered the Top-25 on 16th place.
    The other record was achieved by Starcrytas. He got 66,7 million on Dangerous Curve/20 and took the 24th spot there.
    I've added all their other PRs too and some worth or interesting to watch videos, which links you can find on their WCR profiles linked below. If you wanna see videos of their other PRs, you can check those out on Twingalaxies.com.

    It is still raining PRs and records.
    LEEK701X improved his Rattlesnake Row/5 PR once again and got a 380,1 million score, being only 8 million off the World Record. On the Top-25 he climbed from 6th onto 3rd place (previous PR 321,0mil). Even after that PR he was able to beat the 300 million mark 2 times again (346,5mil and 308,2mil), which makes it four 300 million scores within only 24 hours!
    On the Totals he beat the 5,8 billion mark.

    • XtremePlays got 28,2 million on Ridge Riot/8 and finally entered the Top-25, on the 24th spot (previous PR 27,1mil), and still only using the Ps2. Of course it is also a new best Ps2 video for that zone again. This increases the zones, he was able to enter the Top-25, to 5. He possibly only could enter the Top-25 on Freeway Fury/9 too, with a bounce-off glitch, cause only being able to play on the Ps2 version.
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #31 to #29.

    • Crashfreak got a new best Xbox 50hz video for Avalanche/13. He got 118,4 million and beat the 13 years old best video by 19 million (99,0mil/Brainkiller007).

    There are 2 new good scores to update this morning.
    LEEK701X was able to improve his PR on Rattlesnake Row/5 two times within just 1 hour. First he got a 282,1 million score and then he improved to 321,0 million climbing from 18th onto the 6th spot (previous PR 276,2mil).

    • MKrawnis got a new PR on Sprint Smash/17 also using the recently used trailer-strat. With 206,8 million he entered the Top-25 on 10th place (previous PR 158,4mil) and is now only missing 1 zone without a Top-25 position, that being Coastal Crush/2.
    On the Totals he beat the 4,9 billion mark and is now only 61 million away to beat the magical 5 billion mark.

    Update time! There's a bunch of scores from approximately the last 2 weeks waiting to be added, here we go.

    And we start with the most outstanding score which just happened yesterday, nikcolin got a 243,2 million glitch on Sprint Smash/17 using a Trailer-strat and took the 3rd spot, which is currently his best ranked PR. Already 1 day before he was able to enter the Top-25 there with a 181,5 million score. With the 243 million score he also beat the best Gamecube 50hz video for that zone, which was a 4 years old 213,0 million score by Crashfreak before.
    Beside that he improved his PR on Hairpin Havoc/10 from 72,6 to 76,4 million, worth climbing from 20th onto the 12th spot.
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #19 onto #17 and on the Totals he beat the 2 billion mark, still missing PRs for 14 zones.

    • MKrawnis was able to enter two Top-25s he still was missing. On Dip Disaster/6 he got 239,6 million taking the 18th spot (previous PR 196,9mil) and on Cross Traffic Crash/26 he got 74,1 million taking the 23rd spot (previous PR 65,9mil). Those were his first PRs since 1 and half years. By the way his last 2 missing Top-25s are on Coastal Crush/2 and on Sprint Smash/17, and on the Totals he is only missing another 110 million to beat the 5 billion mark.

    • Assassin Sports got 59,4 on Criss Cross Crush/18 and entered the Top-25 on 20th place (previous PR 51,4 mil). Already a few days before that score he was able to get a 58,3 million score (without video). He also improved his PR on Pacific Peril/4 and got 55,4 million climbing from 16th onto 12th place(previous PR 52,1mil).
    On the Totals he beat the 3,6 billion mark.

    • And that's not all. XtremePlays got 27,1 million on Ridge Riot/8 and beat his own 3 months old best Ps2 video by 0,8 million. He also was missing only 80k to enter the Top-25 there, nonetheless this is a very good non-glitch score. He also got a new PR on Dip Disaster/6 with 128,4 million (previous PR 121,3mil), also done without a glitch and on the Ps2.

    Sorry folks, I am 4 days overdue with the news about a new World Record, the first one in 2022 and the first one since 8 months.

    LEEK701X got 331,9 million on Downtown Destruction/22 and beat the almost 4 years old record from CoastalCrusher by 44 million (287,8mil). He is the first one to beat the 300 million mark on that zone and it is also his first World Record ever, congratulation again. On the Top-25 he climbed from 5th onto 1st place (previous PR 188,6mil). And he also beat the almost 4 years old best Gamecube 60hz video for that zone, which was a 274,0 million score by Brainkiller007 before.
    2 days later he also got a new PR on Catch Up Chaos/24 with 239,5 million and jumped from 24th onto 8th place (previous PR 187,5mil).

    With those 2 PRs he added 195 million on his Total and beat the 5,6 billion mark ($5,656,590,620).

    • Also some small milestone on the 'Best Vids' list was achieved, which by the way was the start of all of this, being established even 1 year before the WCR. The Total beat the 8,5 billion mark and stands right now at $8,538,857,024. Just a reminder, when the 'Best Videos' website went online back then in June 2004, the Total started at around 3,7 billion if my memory is correct. So the last words on this news are let's go for the 9 billion mark!
