Scores have been taken from the old www.superhighscore.com website, Xbox Live, www.cyberscore.net, www.vgr-fr.com, www.youtube.com and other rankings, vids and records found on the World Wide Web.

New World Record on Sandstorm Shredder/7!
Brainkiller007 got 176,8 million and beat the 8,5 years old previous record from Anthony Burnout by 7,3 million (169,5mil). As there was no video of Anthonys score, Brainkiller007 also beat the best video for that zone, which was a 11,5 years old 158,7 million score from no less than Drew22werD. It was by the way the 3rd oldest video on the "Best Vids" list, only the Criss Cross Crush/18 and Roadblock/19 video being older.
On the Top-25 he climbed from the 6th onto the first spot (previous PR 144,9mil). It was his first PR in 2023.
And this also was the first World Record on the default rankings in 2023 and the first World Record ever using the default Compact!

    • And this was not the only news for today. Nikcolin got 169,2 million on Ballistic Beach/15 and climbed from the 21st onto the 19th spot (previous PR 157,1mil).

    • And LarviStar got a pretty nice 157,6 million score 3 days ago on Twilight Turmoil/25 with a very late glitch, which would be placed 6th on the Top-25 (previous PR 93,6mil). If happening earlier, his glitch probably would have went for the 200 million mark. Check out the info on his video for more statistics, but also his personal statistics page linked below.
    On the Totals he is now close to beat the 3 billion mark.

    In the recent years events like Crashing-the-date, Crash-offs, Special Crash Events, etc. got very popular within the community and mark a highlight each year. And after the last successful event on Saturday April 8th for the 20th year anniversary of Burnout 2, there will be held another Saturday Night Crash-off this summer. Actually there is a plan to held those 3 times and the first part called "WCR Saturday Night Summer Crash-offs 2023: Part I" will take place on June the 3rd, which is in some 10 days from today on. As usual a Crash-off will be held on the WCR Discord server and the event will start approximately about 9pm CET (Central European Time) and will last till the last Crasher is going to sleep, which on the last Crash-off was somewhere around 6am in the morning.     After going through the first 15 zones, he knew from the Ps2, and achieving a Top-25 score on each, XtremePlays started his run for the next 15 zones. And on Long Distance Destruction/16 he got a very promising start with a 121,3 million score, even on the Xbox version, which since the J-Muscle strat took over almost isn't used anymore. On the Top-25 he climbed straight onto the 8th spot.
    And he even beat the best Xbox 60hz video for that zone, which was a just 1 month old 114,3 million score by mKrawnis. By the way the only reason there is no video of Joe Crashs 121,9 million score (also done on Xbox 60hz) was a power outage! Drew22werD was just about to grab a camera and record that score, which was even a World Record at that time, and boom, the outage happened! Talk of extremely bad luck.
    And back to XtremePlays. On the Totals he beat the 3,3 billion mark. As he don't have a PR for Zones 17-30 yet, his Total is going to have a boost on each PR on those zones.
    Oh wait, i just see he didn't upload his Zone 15 PR yet. Nevermind, will probably come on the next news.

    Yesterday after already getting a 6,7 and 6,8 million damage crash on Roadbloack/19 before, both unfortunately with a 13 multi like often at this zone, CoastalCrusher got 96,8 million (6,9mil x 14) and climbed from the 10th onto the 3rd spot (previous PR 91,4mil). It was his 2nd PR in 2023 and it is currently his 7th PR in a Top-3 spot.

    Mkrawnis got 3 new PRs over the last month. Biggest improvement was on Dangerous Curve/20 from 71,5 to 76,8 million, which made him climb on the Top-25 from the 18th onto the 13th spot. The other 2 improvements where just tiny ones and didn't change spots on the rankings. On Roadbloack/19 from 82,5 to 82,7 million (24th) and on Switch Back Shocker/29 from 98,6 to 99,5 million (22nd). At least with those scores he beat PRs which were done on the Dolphin Emulator, back when those were still allowed on the rankings.

    • On Long Distance Destruction/16 LarviStar finally achieved his goal of a Top-25 score. Using the Supercar he got 115,8 million and would be placed on the 12th spot on the Top-25.
    On the Totals he beat the 2,9 billion mark.

    • And last, that reference on the news 2 days ago, about the last score on a Top-25 using the default Compact being removed, was wrong. On Freeway Fury/9 there is still a 266,6 million score on the 22nd spot from Timmey064 using the default Compact. So that's all, thanks for reading, stay tuned!

    XtremePlays continues his run of getting pretty good scores straight into a zones Top-25. On Dam Buster/14 he got 153,6 million and entered the Top-25 on the 7th spot (previous Ps2 PR 43,3mil).
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed from #16 to #15 and on the Totals it was another good jump for him beating the 3,2 billion mark.

    XtremePlays got 144,7 million on Late Arrival/11 and entered the Top-25 on the 13th spot (previous Ps2 PR 44,5mil).
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed another spot from #17 to #16 and on the Totals he beat the 3,1 billion mark.

    • Nikcolin got a new PR on Dip Disaster/6 with 178,4 million (previous PR 141,6mil).
    On the Totals he beat the 4,7 billion mark.

    • And last, some random statistic. With that entry from XtremePlays on Late Arrival/11, the only score using the default Compact on a Top-25 score flew out. It was a 126,8 million score by Gameserfer0 from the old Xbox Live Scoreboard.

    CoastalCrusher also got his first PR in 2023. On Down Hill Demolition/1 he got 330,9 million and climbed from 12th onto 7th place (previous PR 241,1mil).
    This rises his Top-10 appearance to 25 zones and on the Totals he beat the 6,4 billion mark.

    • On Long Distance Destruction/16 LarviStar got 108,7 million and got pretty close to his goal of a Top-25 score being only 1,1 million away. Remember, his scores are done on the Dolphin Emulator, and i am just announcing his PRs and progress, cause he puts a lot of time and passion into.

    3rd PR for nikcolin within 4 days. On Late Arrival/11 he got 140,1 million and entered the Top-25 on the 14th spot (previous PR 98,2mil).
    He also beat the almost 17 years old best Gamecube 50hz video for that zone from Brainkiller007 by 1,1 million (139,0mil).
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed into the Top-10 from #11 to #10!

    Nikcolin got a small improvement on Ridge Riot/8 from 26,1 to 28,7 million (non-glitch) and missed the Top-25 for 0,9 million only.

    A quick news release again cause i forgot to add another PR from XtremePlays. On Ridge Riot/8 he got 45,9 million and reentered the Top-25 on the 11th spot (previous Ps2 PR 28,2mil).
    That PR also made him beat the 3 billion mark with still missing PRs for 15 zones.

    It's PR time again and therefore time for another news release.
    XtremePlays got 444,9 million on Freeway Fury/9 and entered the Top-25 on the 5th spot (previous Ps2 PR 182,5mil).
    On the Overall Rankings he climbed 1 spot from #18 to #17 and for his Total this was a big push now only being 5 million away to beat the 3 billion mark ($2,995,731,552).

    Nikcolin got 268,1 million on Sprint Smash/17 and beat the almost 4 years old best video for that zone from Crashfreak by 9 million (259,3mil)! It is the first time he holds a overall best score video, congrats. On the Top-25 he climbed from 3rd onto 2nd place (previous PR 243,2mil). Together with Heights Horror/27 it is now his best ranked PR.
    He also beat the best Gamecube 50hz video for Sprint Smash/17, which was his own 243,2 million PR from almost 1 year ago.
